The last few months have been a whirlwind. In April, we announced our candidacy for state representative. Nothing could have prepared me for what was to come. I personally knocked on over 10,000 doors, while my team knocked on over 60,000. We made over 47,000 phone calls, and walked in many parades around the community. We raised nearly $400,000, and over $2 million was spent on this race, which set a new state record.
It wasn’t easy, but thanks to supporters like you, we won with almost 55% of the vote. I cannot express how thankful I am for all you did to contribute to that.
Many are shocked that we won by so much, but I’m not. The enthusiasm from you and countless others was infectious, and there isn’t enough time in the day for me to tell you how grateful I am for each and every one of you.
That is why I hope you will join me on Wednesday, November 25, at 1:30 p.m. on the House floor for my swearing in ceremony. We couldn’t have done this without you, and I would be honored if you’d join my family and I at this special event.
Again, I want to thank you for your support over the last few months. I hope you, and your loved ones, have a blessed Thanksgiving and take some time to reflect on how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful community. I truly look forward to serving it in Olympia.
